A pressure reactor enables a reaction to be carried out at higher
temperature than the boiling point of a solvent and a reagent, which will
increase the reaction rate (Arrhenius Equation: every 10°C increase
could double the speed).  Pressure reduces reaction volume, including
liquid, which increases concentration and collision frequency, and in turn
speeds up a reaction.  When the desired reaction is accelerated , the
competing reagent decompositions are minimized.  Pressure enables
    faster reactions with cleaner profiles.
Q-Tube-12mL and 35mL pressure reactors are affordable alternatives to
expensive and cumbersome microwave synthesizers.  In addition to organic
synthesis, Q-TUBE™  and QianCap™ find use anywhere that higher yields,
cleaner products, and faster reactions are desired, for example in inorganic
synthesis, catalytic hydrogenation, polymerization, acid digestion process
for accurate trace metal analysis, like silver, and other chemical processes.

In addition to the above benefits using the Q-TUBE™ and QianCap™ over
a microwave synthesizer, Q-TUBE™ and QianCap™ provide extra
    advantages of:

  • Safety-virtually eliminating the risk of pressure explosions
  • Higher and cleaner product yields (microwave energy is known to
cause localized overheat which accelerates decomposition
    reactions especially on heterocycles)
  • Scalable (up to 1850 mL)
  • Higher Pressure than a typical pressure tube
  • Higher reproducibility (than a microwave)
  • Greener (broader solvent choices than microwave and conventional
    round bottom flask)
  • Energy savings (92 percent energy reduction and 150 gallons of
    water per refluxed reaction)
  • Affordable, only a fraction of a microwave synthesizer
  • Maintenance-free

Q-TUBE™ and QianCap™ PURGING systems can be operated safely and
accurately with high reproducibility with a wide range of gases, including
Ammonia, Nitrogen, Argon, Hydrogen, Deuterium, Carbon Monoxide,
    Carbon Dioxide, etc.

    Q-Optimizer™ and Q-Parallel Synthesizer™ enable multiple simultaneous
reactions to be done in about 40 minutes; a great tool for reaction
    optimization and analogue synthesis.
